Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course runs from August 24-28 Monday - Friday, 7-8:30pm PST.
How long do I have access to the course material?
You will be provided the materials via PDFs that you will be encouraged to download and keep as long as you need it. You will have access to me for as long you need my assistance.
How is the course structured?
The class meets once a day for 90 minutes over the course of a week. Each day will cover one of the topics noted in the description. The first 40 minutes is discussion on the day's topic, then there is a 10 minute break, and the second 40 minutes is for class exercises, Q&A and preview of the next day's topic.
Is the class synchronous (live) or asynchronous (pre-recorded)?
At this point, the class is synchronous. This allows for access to the teacher, and learning to occur among the students. We are considering recording sessions and making this an asynchronous course in the future.
Can't I just find these resources online?
Maybe...What makes this course different is that it helps you figure out what to do with those resources. For example, if you want to build a house, you basically know what you need: lumber, plumbing, wires, paint, etc. You even may have schematics from building a house before. Only now, the schematics you have don't work. That means you need to rethink how you will use the materials you have to build a new house with new schematics. This course helps you with that mental shift.
Will this course be offered again?
Yes! We've already had requests to have the course again during Winter Break. We are excited to share this information with as many people as possible.
Is there a limit on the number of people per course?
To ensure that there is enough time for dialogue and deep learning, we cap the course at 10 students. If there is a lot of demand, we will create another week-long session.
